Fence Installations in Sydney - Some Things to Know
Why should you choose an aluminium fence?
Advantages of Aluminium Fencing – Durable, Affordable, and Modern Looking
Fences serve a variety of functions for both residential and commercial properties. Properly installed fences can boost your property’s aesthetic and practical value. If you’re looking for a tough and long-lasting security fence, you can’t go wrong with our selection of aluminium fencing options.
- Aluminium fences are specifically designed for security, whether you need an entry gate or an entire enclosure.
- Aluminium fencing is both beautiful and affordable. It can be made to order, ensuring a high-quality finish.
- An aluminium fence has the look and feel of a traditional iron fence but costs a fraction of the price.
- Another advantage of using aluminium fencing is that it is extremely durable. Whereas traditional fencing is easily damaged by falling branches or heavy objects, an aluminium fence can withstand even the strongest winds.
Aluminium fences are rust-proof.

Requirements and Guidelines
If you intend to construct a custom fence around your property, you must be aware of the laws governing fences. There are numerous laws that you must be aware of in order for your new fence to be permitted to remain.
The Dividing Fences Act 1991 is an important law to be aware of in NSW. This law is intended to help settle any disputes that may arise as a result of the fence and to provide you with a clear path forward. It effectively regulates your and your neighbor’s responsibility. This legislation is only required if there are disagreements about the proposed fence.
The Swimming Pools Act 1992 specifies the fencing requirements for backyard swimming pools in NSW, as well as other safety requirements such as the display of a CPR sign near the pool. All properties with a swimming pool and/or spa pool must register their backyard swimming pools in an online register provided by the NSW State Government beginning April 29, 2013. Failure to register a swimming pool or spa pool may result in a fine of up to $220.
Visit the website here and follow the instructions to register your pool. Alternatively, for a small fee, you can register your pool at your local council’s office. Contact Carport Australia for more information about fencing regulations in NSW. Also read our Fence Installation Process.
